This vintage heraldic hoodie commemorates the Battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571, when the Christian fleet of the Holy League defeated the Ottoman Muslim fleet in a decisive naval victory. Before the battle, Pope St. Pius V called upon Catholics to pray the Rosary, asking for the Blessed Virgin Mary’s intercession against the Ottoman threat. He attributed the victory to her intercession, establishing a commemoration that became the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. The engraved galley, Christian crosses, and Latin inscription “Victoria Rosarii”—“Victory of the Rosary”—honor this enduring connection between Catholic faith, prayer, and courage.
