Vienna 1683 Hoodie — Venimus, Vidimus, et Deus Vicit
Shipping and returns
We came, we saw, and God conquered.
Featuring a crowned Polish eagle and aged heraldic detailing, this hoodie honors the victory of Jan III Sobieski, King of Poland, at the Battle of Vienna on September 12, 1683. Sobieski led the allied Christian relief army that defeated the Ottoman forces and lifted the siege of the city. The Latin inscription, “Venimus, vidimus, et Deus vicit”—“We came, we saw, and God conquered”—recalls his message to Pope Innocent XI following the victory. This design brings together Polish heritage, Christian faith, and a defining moment in European history.
A proud gift for anyone with Polish roots or a love of history. The Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, September 12, was extended to the whole Church in thanksgiving for this victory.
